Live boldly, laugh and make art

A can of King Oscar Sardines and a cell phone

When I left the house today, I patted my back pocket to make sure I had my cell phone. Yes, I did. I could feel the phone in the back right pocket of my jeans.  I was on my way to a meeting at church. They were serving dinner. When I arrived at church I reached into my back pocket  to check the time on my cell phone. I  took out of my back pocket  a can of King Oscar Tiny Tot Sardines.  It was the can I had placed in my back pocket in case I couldn’t eat the food at church.

My phone was not in my purse. My phone was on the counter when I got home.

Tomorrow is another day.

I will charge my phone.

The next time I put sardines in my back pocket I will put the can of sardines in my left back pocket, and my phone in my right back pocket.

Have you ever had a day when you tried to wash the dishes with your oven mitts or tried to call home on a can of green and yellow King Oscar Tiny Tot Sardines?

  • I have had about 3 steady weeks of one wrong thing after another…it’s been a rough start to the school year…and yes, tomorrow is another day. Natalie sick, eye swollen shut-allergic to something, breaking out in hives, Kam throwing up, husband sick-trying to get subs and sub-finder system not working, kids missing the bus, boys peeing their pants-really just one day after another-oh, mother-what a year it’s been.

Oh my, you have had an interesting start to school. Is Natalie feeling better? Is Kam still throwing up? Is your husband well? Did any body miss the bus? Did any one pee their pants? I still see a smile in your profile picture. How was your school day today?

  • The sardines I eat are “Brunswick” Canadian Sardines, but that may be because I am Canadian. Excellent source of protien, Vitamin D & calcium.

Oh Mother, they sound delicious. I know what I want for my birthday this year.

  • The only experience I have had with cans of sardines is when I used to buy them for my husband’s lunchbox. Sorry, can’t imagine eating them myself!
That aside, didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I read about your day, and your question… because I’ve certainly “had one of those days” more than once!

Thank you for your laughter. I would love to know what you did on “one of those days.” Today I tried to open the front door of the house with the remote for the van.

      • OH, Pam! You have too much on your plate!
