Live boldly, laugh and make art

There is no pizza today

There is no pizza today.

If I my life is a pizza, then my writing is a daily slice. Some of the pieces only have cheese on them and some have pepperoni.

Today there is no pizza.

I don’t want to tell you what to do with your dictionary.  I don’t want to tell you how to have a best friend. I don’t want to tell you how low your neck-line should be, or why your shouldn’t compare or hide in your closet.

I won’t tell you to brush your teeth before bed. I won’t tell you to clean out your basement. I won’t tell you to eat everything on your plate before you get your desert.

There is no pizza today.

I do want to tell you something.

1. Write a letter to a friend and tell them how much they mean to you.
And quit whining about it. Yes, I did mean get out a pen and write something on a piece of paper; stick your letter in an envelope and mail it.  If you want to send an e-mail in addition to the letter, I give you permission to do send an e-mail. But, you must still write a letter. In addition to, not instead of.

2. Tell someone you love today, “I love you.”
If they don’t live close to you, then use the telephone. If they live close enough to see them in person, then tell them in person. If you have to drive to their house, then drive there. If they live with you, tell them to their face. Look them in the eye when you say, “I love you.”  Keep saying it until they tell you to stop.

3. If you want to cry, go ahead and cry.
If the person you want to talk to is dead. I’m sorry. I’m sorry you can’t tell them you love them anymore. I want to make your sorrow better. But I know I can’t. It’s your pain and your sorrow. I have a big sad inside of me too. Today is a good day to cry.

It is raining today in Gilbertsville, Pennyslvania, The United States of America. I wonder if it is raining in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada?

There is no pizza today.

Will you tell someone you love them?

Please let me know in the comments. I would love to chat.

I am sorry for your loss. I seems the world in Pennsylvania wants to cry with you today. You remind me life is precious and should not be taken for granted.

    • Thank you Elsie. Live is precious. I am thankful for your friendship and for strawberries. I always think of you at the bulk food store when I see them.

  • Got it,

  • Joy Lenton

I’m so glad you urged us to wait and receive your words of wisdom, Pamela. There is no ‘cheese’ here, no spicy ‘pepperoni’ either, just manna – bread of offering from one heart to another through your own struggles. Thank you for blessing us with such thoughts to encourage and help others. Bless you 🙂 x

  • Thank you, Pamela. Yes, I will make some phone calls and mail some letters today. And I love you, Pamela. I’m sending lots of virtual hugs for you on this rainy day.

    • Thank you for the virtual hugs. It is cold outside where I live. However, I feel warm in my house. I will write letters today too.

Your words touch my deepest caring, loving corner of the heart! You are so right about everything you say, and the way you say it! We all have our sorrows and rightfully we should let them move us and cry if we want to. It does help to find comfort in people who we know care about us. I wish I was closer to you so I could show you that I care about you! 🙂
