Good-bye muffin top

Pamela Hodges has a muffin top.

I have never been on a sports team, and was always picked last during gym class in grade school.

Most of my exercise is, “I use to.”

I use to walk everyday, I use to do Body Pump, I use to not have to wear Spanx to fit into my Christmas dress.

My fitness plan is to walk everyday for 365 days, starting tomorrow,  and start taking Body Pump classes again. My goal is to lose the 8 pounds that make all of my jeans not fit, and gave me a muffin top.

My mind-set is what I want to change. I don’t want to be an old lady with a gut, and I don’t want to be weak. I can not do even one pull up.

My dream? To be able to do five pull ups.

And one day I would like to enter a body building fitness competition for senior women.

I don’t know anything about how to get strong. First I will just start.

Start before you are ready.

I don’t eat any sugar or wheat, but I overdo it on strawberries and home-made whipped cream, (without sugar or vanilla).

Tonight I did a short brisk walk with Martha, my dog. Perhaps we will both lose a few pounds.

Good-bye muffin top

Would you like your  muffin top to only be on your muffin?

Would you like to join me and walk every day for 365 days?

You don’t have to run everyday, or walk a mile everyday, you just need to walk every day. It could be for one mile, it could be around the block, or it might only be as far as the end of your driveway and back. (You can start when you read this, or start on January first, or start on February 2nd, just start.)

I will be creating a private facebook group, Walk 365 for 2014. You can reply to this email if you are a subscriber to my blog, or send me your email address: [email protected] (dot) com. and I will add you to the facebook group.

And you don’t have to be perfect to be in this facebook group. If you miss a day, just keep on going and walk the next day. Lets get healthy and walk. All around the world, Lets Do  It!

Do you have a plan to get healthy? Please tell me in the comments. I would love to encourage you.

p.s. You don’t have to post a picture of your muffin top to be in the private facebook group.

    You go Girl!
Yes add me to the group!

    • You are added Laura. So happy to be able to walk together.

  • Christine

You rock, Pamela, for posting a picture of your muffin top!! I had a c-section with my 3rd and have a sweet little overhang to accompany my muffin top. I turn 40 in February and its been my goal to lose it before then. Unfortunately, wishing it away isn’t working! 😉 Happy to join everyone on the same journey!

    • Hello Christine,
So happy you are joining us on the walking adventure. Muffin tops be gone!

  • So good!

  • I do want to lose a little weight. I’m more interested in inch loss than pounds. I plan to do Ttapp this next year. I am not sure if I can walk everyday. That sounds so daunting. It would be good for me to get out of the house and walk more though. Maybe on bad weather days I could walk back and forth from the kitchen to the hallway. Okay count me in. 🙂

    • Welcome Anastacia,
Don’t worry about the whole year. Thankfully we only have to take one day at a time. And I know you can walk everyday. You just have to put one foot in front of the other one.
So happy to have you to walk with.

Me too! I,m in. Love from Flabby Abby

    • Welcome Alison, Alison, or Flabby Abby.
So, right now we have a muffin top, a bakers dozen and a Flabby Abby.
I sent to an invitation to your email. Welcome!

  • If you’ve got muffin, I’ve got a baker’s dozen. I joined a fitness club and have been doing Yoga & Pilates along with another class that uses these long straps hung from a bar above us. I have no upper body strength. When I stand up, I don’t look too bad. When I do squats, everything is very very bad. I’d like very much to join you in this challenge.

    • Shelley,
You are so funny. A baker’s dozen. haha. But I bet you are a cute bakers dozen. Muffins and cookies will unite! I created the facebook group and you are the first member!
We will get strong and look amazing when we do squats.

If Shelley has a bakers dozen . . . I own the bakery! My goal this year is to lose 70 lbs. That may sound familiar because that was my goal last year BUT this year I have Michael Hyatt on my team of my #bestyearever.

Now can I just exercise each day or does it have to be walking AND when is the start date AND I would like to be on the FB group AND you are awesome!

        • Renee,
You can exercise too. This project is to walk every day. The official start is January 1st. I am making a 365 day check box on Adobe Illustrator for the facebook group.
          It should be done tomorrow.
I am starting tomorrow to get use to the idea. I may only walk to the end of my driveway. But I will be walking.
