Live boldly, laugh and make art

I care for you.

But how do I show you?  I care for you by washing your sheets and sweeping the floor in your room, carrying your dirty dishes, dried chicken bones, bread crusts, to the kitchen.

But you ask me to come and see you instead. I can show you I care by just sitting quietly beside you. Being there. I don’t understand this, but I will listen, and not wash your sheets or clean your floor or carry your dishes to the sick in the kitchen.

I will drive and park and take the elevator to your room and sit beside you.

Because I do care, and I will show you that, by doing nothing but being there.

Thinking of you, always praying! For us mothers is what we do that shows our love, so we often ignore that just being there is even more important! This is a beautiful post, Pamela! Blessings, My friend!

    • Thank you Katina.
Yes, showing our love by our actions. And just being there.

What a beautiful post. A poem. A perfect expression of care and love of the heart into words.

Pamela spending time is a beautiful thing. When I ask my children to chose what we do with the day, it usually involves something really simple a game they wish to play. My time is what they want and I know this will change. But I like you care and want them to always remember how much. Sending warm hugs your way and hoping the sun is shining and your family is mending.

    • Hello Kath,
I keep forgetting that my children want me. For me to really be there with them. They don’t care if the floors are swept or the sink is empty of dishes. They just want me to notice them.
Thank you for the warm hugs. One day I hope to stand on your hill and watch BOO the cat wander home.
The sun is shining here and our family is healing.

This is so hard for you, I will show you I care by being here to listen…….xxooxx

    • Thank you Mom,
I know you care. And I love you.
Love your daughter. Who still likes to leave all of her dirty clothes all over the floor in her bedroom.
