Live boldly, laugh and make art

Once upon a time there was a crooked sidewalk

Once upon a time there was a crooked sidewalk.

We can’t always change what is blocking our path.

Quit, or build your sidewalk around the obstacle.

What would you choose?

If I have someplace to go & there is an obstacle in the way, then for goodness sake get on with it, go around it, & continue on your way.

I love it when sidewalks or other construction projects divert and maintain the space needed for long established wonders of nature to coexist with them. It’s what we should all do, if not defer to others, at least respect their boundaries. We’re all different, but coexistence will enhance us, not destroy us.

    Thanks Pamela,

  • No quiting here! Build around it!

Happy Sunday!! I was in the fire service for 19 years and we always lived by the term “adapt and overcome,” so I would build a sidewalk around the obstacle (or heck, maybe even over it). Thank you for your articles. I always enjoy reading them.

Thank you Pamela for another inspiring moment in daily life. Build around it would be my way as well.

    • Hello Cheryl,
You are very welcome. Thank you for the thank you!

Pamela, I love the clever way you perceive the ordinary. Sometimes you just make my day.

    • Well Melody,
Now we are even. You just made my day!

  • Deb Lairson

I would definitely build my sidewalk around the obstacle! 🙂

    • Hello Deb.
Good idea. If we didn’t we wouldn’t be able to get very far.
