Driving through a long tunnel in my van today, I wondered if there would be a light at the end of the tunnel. I had never driven on the road before. I assumed the tunnel would eventually end. I assumed at the end of the tunnel I would see a light. I would see daylight again.
The tunnel reminded me of trusting God. I trust God that the unpleasant situation I am in will end. I trust God that the painful road I am walking on will end.
When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.
Corrie Ten Boom
I trusted God. I trusted God that I would not be driving in the tunnel for the rest of my life. I trusted God there would be a light at the end of the tunnel.
There was.
There is.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:5-6
Are you driving in a long tunnel? I pray you see the light at the end.
Please let me know in the comments. I would love to pray for you.
