It is 9:31 at night.
Usually I write at 5 a.m. in the morning, but last night I stayed up until 1:30 a.m. Then at 4:30, Nepeta, one of the kittens scratched on my bedroom door. I got out of bed and fed the cats.
I slept in until 8:00 in the morning and didn’t write.
Cooking, cleaning, dirty dishes, cooking, cleaning, dirty dishes, cooking, cleaning, dirty dishes, cooking, cleaning, dirty dishes, cooking cleaning, dirty dishes…
It is late now.
It is time for me to go to bed.
But before I go to bed, I will write.
The dirty dishes in the sink can wait until tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It’s perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we’ve learned something from yesterday.

Tomorrow I will write first and clean second.
Write first. Clean second.
Or write first, second and third, and clean fourth.
A new day. A fresh start.
