Today is Sunday. It is 5:50 a.m. I went to bed early last night just like my mother suggested. The house is quiet. Only the cats and I are awake. Martha, the dog, is still sleeping. My husband is asleep, my children are asleep.
The birds outside are awake. They are singing to the sunrise.
Last night Martha came and stuck her face in my lap. She wanted to go outside. I was typing on the computer and she interrupted me. I didn’t want to take her out.
“Oh, I wish we had a fenced yard, so I could put Martha outside and come back and continue writing.”
The sun was setting. If I hadn’t gone outside I would have missed God saying good-night as the sun set.
When the sun is setting, leave whatever you are doing and watch it.”

Sometimes I forget to look up.
The sun is rising now. It is time to take Martha for a walk and say Good-Morning to the day.
There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.”
― Jo Walton
Did you see the sunset last night?
