You may not be a bearded woman, but you may feel like you don’t belong, that there is no place for you.

Someone might have said unkind words to you; you might feel like you won’t be accepted for who you are.

It is okay to be you. Love who you are now.

Last Friday, at 4:30 pm I went to the Carmike theater to see The Greatest Showman.

Keala Settle, who portrays Lettie Lutz, a bearded woman, sings the song “This Is Me.”. The song, written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, is the anthem, for the movie The Greatest Showman.

Let this song be your anthem. A song to remind you:

You are lovely as you are.

You are who you’re meant to be.
You don’t have to be ashamed of your scars.
You don’t have to be ashamed to be seen.
You don’t have to make apologies.
