Today is Monday. It is 11:27 in the morning and I am sorting through my life.
Keep. Donate. Toss.
You can do all things, even…
I can even…
There are three dot’s after the word even, so you can fill in what you are struggling with. What is your even?
Is there something in your life that feels hard? You don’t have to do it alone. Phillipains 4:13, the verse I had memorized years ago, came to mind when I felt overwhelmed this morning, and I realized I wasn’t alone, and I can do all things, all.
All things.
Through Christ.
Who Strengthens me.
When I moved into this rental house, I moved my life in cardboard boxes. Most of the boxes have not been opened; the papers of my life from when I was married have not been sorted through.
Keep. Donate. Toss.
Keep my good memories. Donate clothes that don’t fit. Toss out other people’s expectations.
Living my life as me.
Who is me?
Is me, what we wear?
Where we work?
Is me what others say we are?
Is me, our education? Degree or no degree?
Our relationship status? Single? Divorced? It’s complicated?
Are we our label? Mother? Aunt? Nana? Sister? Brother? Uncle? Grandfather?
Is me how much money we have saved? How much debt we have or don’t have?
And once again, I think of the song I sang as a child.
Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong.
They are weak but he is strong.
Jesus loves you
You can do hard things.
We can do hard things.
I can do hard things.
You can do hard things, even …
